Brave, the newest film from Pixar, follows a Scottish princess Merida (Kelly MacDonald) who is more interested in honing her bow and arrow skills than romance.
Not only that, she can ride a horse like a champion and can easily survive alone in the mysterious forest that surrounds her home in the highlands of Scotland.
Pixar's first female-led picture doesn't feature a generic princess, that's for sure.
Brave arrives June 22 and also stars Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy), Craig Furgeson and Robbie Coltrane. Here's the trailer:
