Disneyland has always involved family bloggers in promoting their new ventures, and the exciting opening of Cars Land at DIsney?s California Adventure was no exception.? Cars Land?is a new 12-acre area based on the Pixar movie Cars, part of a five-year, multi-million dollar overhaul of the them park adjacent to Disneyland?s Magic Kingdom in Anahiem, California.? In addition to a collection of new rides, restaurants, and shops in Cars Land, the improvements also included a remodel of main street, reminiscent of the Los Angeles neighborhood where founder Walt Disney got his start.
This weekend marks the grand reopening of California Adventure and the premiere of Cars Land, that kicked off with a red carpet event walked by a number of Disney stars. Several bloggers from the parenting space where on-hand to interview celebrities from the red carpet, and then later in the evening to attend the opening ceremony for Cars Land.
Bloggers in attended included Janice Croze from 5 Minutes for Mom, Ana Flores from Spanglish Baby, Liz Cerezo from Thoughts of a Mommy, Natalie Klein from Hollywood Hot Moms, Whit Honea from Honea Express, Suzanne Broughton from OC Family, Marcy Massura from The Glamorous Life Association, Andrea Fellman from Savvy Sassy Moms, Dina Freeman from BabyCenter, and Aracely Worley from Daytripping Mom.
The red carpet was truly a star-studded event, with celebrities including stars from Pixar?s Cars movies, as well as stars from The Disney Channel and Disney?s ABC Family channel.?
Following the red carpet, there was a grand opening ceremony attended by media, celebrities, and Disney artists and executives.? In typical Disney fashion, the event was a spectacular and moving celebration designed to honor all of those involved in the creation of this magical new space at California Adventure.
After the ceremony, everyone in attendance was invited into Cars Land to preview the new rides and sample the new food venues.? The following day, bloggers were invited back to enjoy the parks with their families.? We will be covering the bloggers? family preview of Cars Land in a future post.
