As per an Australian study, it has been revealed that a balanced diet and good workout can keep one protected from the deadly disease cancer. Associate Professor Peter Baade and co-authors at the Cancer Council Queensland's research centre conducted the research.

They have found that if the people are able to bring changes in their diet and also keep their body fit then almost 43,000 new cancer cases can be prevented which means that 674 million will be saved of healthcare cost.

It is not the first time that experts have said that good diet and physical activity keeps one fit. However, it is the first study which has specifically focused on cancer and its link with diet and exercise.

Baade said that if one will not adhere to their advice then it is expected that there will be 170,000 new cancer diagnoses in 2025, which means 60% increase in the number of cancer cases since 2007. The study authors were of the view that their study is clear indication for the government that they need to take some step in order to improve the diet of country people.

"The governments must act now and act vigorously, in order to reduce the significant human and financial burden of cancer in the future?, said the study authors. Some of the cancers which can be easily prevented with right diet and exercise are bowel cancer and breast cancer.

In order to reach at the above given conclusion, the study authors said that they have conducted a research for about 15 years and have also studied the population-based cancer epidemiology and biostatistics.

The study has found that they diet and right exercise is the most economic way to remain safe from cancer.
